Privacy Policy

Unlikely Party ("we," "us") runs unlikelyparty.com, a site of tabletop RPG reviews, GM tips and news. This page explains what information the site and our tools handle, and what we do with it. The short version: we collect very little, we don't sell anything, and we don't run ad trackers.

What the site collects

Analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and see which pages and referring sites people come from. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't build a profile of you. We see totals, not individuals.

Hosting logs. The site is hosted on Netlify. Like any web host, Netlify keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and the page requested, to run and secure the service.

Nothing else, by default. The site has no accounts, no comments and no forms, and it doesn't set its own tracking cookies.

The newsletter

If you sign up for our weekly email, you do it on Beehiiv's site, and Beehiiv stores your email address and handles sending. We use your address only to send the newsletter, and you can unsubscribe from any email. Beehiiv's own privacy policy covers how they handle it.

Email you send us

If you email reviews@, hello@ or business@unlikelyparty.com, we use your message and address only to reply. We don't add you to any list unless you ask.

Links and embedded videos

Reviews and articles link to other sites, including YouTube, Amazon, DriveThruRPG, Kickstarter and publishers' stores. Some are affiliate or referral links, which tell the store we sent you. Once you click through, that site's own privacy policy applies.

Embedded YouTube videos use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, so YouTube doesn't set cookies until you press play.

Our automation tools and Google data

We run our own automation tools, including the "n8n" app connected to our Google account. They read and update spreadsheets in our own Google Drive, where we plan social posts and track news for the site. These tools access only our own account's data. They don't access, collect or store data from anyone else's Google account, and nothing from Google is sold or shared. Our use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Children

The site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Questions? Email hello@unlikelyparty.com.
